At what age can hearing be tested?
At any age. Newborns can be screened within days of birth with painless OAE or BERA tests.
Are the tests painful?
No. They are painless, and many are done while the baby is asleep.
My child isn't talking yet. Should we wait?
Don't wait. If speech seems late, a hearing and speech check is the right first step.
How long does speech therapy take?
It depends on the child. The therapist sets goals after the first evaluation and reviews progress regularly.
